1. Who These Terms Apply To
These terms apply when you register as a student, use a Sunshine Training student account, access theory materials, complete quizzes, receive certificates, use CertiChecker, or book training connected with Sunshine Training.
Sunshine Training is operated by SUNSHINE OFFICIAL LTD, company number 16687297. In these terms, "Sunshine", "we", "us" and "our" mean Sunshine Training and SUNSHINE OFFICIAL LTD.
2. How Sunshine Works
Sunshine provides the training infrastructure used by independent academies. This includes student accounts, learning resources, theory systems, quizzes, certificate tools, academy systems and verification services.
The academy delivering your practical training is an independent business. Academies are self-employed training providers and are not employees, partners, agents or franchisees of Sunshine unless we confirm otherwise in writing.
In simple terms: Sunshine provides the platform and systems. Your chosen academy delivers the practical course at their own training location or agreed address.
3. Student Registration
You may be registered on Sunshine in one of two ways:
- you create your own student account; or
- an academy creates or starts the account for you so they can deliver your course through Sunshine.
You must provide accurate information and keep your contact details up to date. If an academy enters your details, they are responsible for having a lawful reason to do so and for explaining this to you.
4. Student Accounts And Access
Your account is for your own use only. You must keep your login details secure and must not share course materials, quizzes, downloads, certificates or system access with anyone else.
We may suspend or restrict access where we reasonably believe an account is being misused, used fraudulently, used to copy resources, or used in a way that may affect the security of Sunshine or other users.
5. Theory, Resources And Quizzes
Sunshine may provide digital theory resources, course materials, quizzes, CPD logs, learner tools and other educational support. These support your learning, but do not replace practical training, professional judgement or the academy's responsibility to assess competence.
Passing an online quiz does not automatically mean you have passed the full practical course unless your academy confirms this as part of their training and assessment process.
6. Practical Training
Practical training is delivered by your academy at their own premises, mobile training address, venue or another agreed location. The academy is responsible for delivering the practical training, health and safety during the practical session, learner support, assessment decisions, course dates and attendance arrangements.
7. Payments, Booking Fees And Refunds
Where you pay an academy for a course, the academy is responsible for the course sale, refund decisions, cancellation terms and practical training delivery. You should contact the academy first for course refund requests, date changes, non-attendance issues or complaints about practical delivery.
Sunshine may receive a booking, platform or system fee from academies. This fee helps maintain Sunshine's systems, certificate tools, student portal, resources and support. Unless we are the direct seller of a specific service to you, Sunshine is not responsible for refunding course fees paid to an independent academy.
Nothing in these terms removes any statutory rights you may have under UK consumer law.
8. Certificates And CertiChecker
Once training and assessment requirements are met, certificates may be created through Sunshine systems or verified using CertiChecker. Certificate records may be kept so that students, academies, insurers or relevant third parties can confirm that a certificate is genuine.
We may use your postal address to post certificates where needed. You are responsible for providing the correct address. If an academy requests certificates on your behalf, they must ensure the certificate details are accurate.
9. Accuracy Of Student Details
Your name, course details and certificate details must be accurate. If you spot an error, tell your academy or Sunshine as soon as possible. Reissued certificates may be subject to a reasonable administration or postage charge.
10. Intellectual Property
Sunshine resources, training materials, quizzes, templates, system layouts, branding and digital tools belong to Sunshine or our licensors. You may use them for your own learning. You must not copy, resell, upload, share, publish, alter or distribute them without written permission.
11. Behaviour And Fair Use
You must not use Sunshine to:
- harass, abuse or threaten another person;
- upload unlawful, harmful or misleading content;
- attempt to access another account or system area;
- copy or scrape resources, learner data or academy data;
- damage, interrupt or overload the website or systems.
12. Our Responsibility
We will use reasonable care and skill when providing the Sunshine platform and student systems. We do not guarantee that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free at all times.
Sunshine is not responsible for the practical training delivered by independent academies, academy premises, academy staff, academy refund decisions, or claims arising from an academy's own services, except where the law says we are responsible.
13. Complaints
If your complaint is about practical training, course delivery, dates or refunds, please contact your academy first. If your complaint is about your Sunshine account, certificate verification, data or our platform, contact us at mail@sunshinetraining.co.uk.
14. Privacy
We use student information in line with our Privacy Policy. This includes information provided by you, by an academy, or generated through your use of Sunshine systems.
15. Changes To These Terms
We may update these terms when our services, systems or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published on this website.
