Course Structure and Content
This is a foundation course to get you into teaching within any vocational sector, as long as you have a minimum of 3 years practical experience in the subjects you wish to teach and are 19 or older.
The level 3 award in education and training is an introductory, knowledge-based teaching qualification, which prepares you for teaching, or training in a wider context.
This course is fully certified by CIBTAC and mapped to the National Occupational Standards,Regulated Qualification Framework and Ofqual regulated. This course is perfect if you want to teach regulated courses, such as NVQ's, VRQ's, BTEC's. If you are wanting to teach in a government establishment like colleges, prisons etc or even offer regulated courses through your own private training academy, then this course is for you. Something to remember, to be able to teach regulated courses, you must hold regulated qualifications like NVQ, VRQ or BTEC within the subjects you wish to teach.
Upon successful completion you will be awarded a
Level 3 Award in Education and Training, certified by CIBTAC
This is an online course, which we have broken down into three units:
Unit 1:Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training
Unit 2: Understanding assessment in education and training
Unit 3: Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches.
Each unit is broken down into sub sections, once you have finished each unit, you will need to submit them for assessing. You get detailed feedback for every question. Once you have finished the 3 units, you will be required to complete a lesson plan. This lesson plan will be based on your micro teach. Your micro teach will involve a live session, where your assessor will assess you and that it should include at least one student, plus a self-assessment form, profile action plan and a declaration, together with other supporting material.
