This is a foundation course to get you into teaching within any vocational sector, as long as you have a minimum of 3 years practical experience in the subjects you wish to teach and are 19 or older.
The level 3 award in education and training is an introductory, knowledge-based teaching qualification, which prepares you for teaching, or training in a wider context.
The course is fully accredited by Sunshine and mapped to the National Occupational Standards. This course is perfect if you want to teach short, accredited courses. So if you want to run your own training academy or work alongside a company offering accredited courses this is the course for you.
Upon successful completion you will be awarded a

This is an online course, which we have broken down into three units:
Unit 1:Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training
Unit 2: Understanding assessment in education and training
Unit 3: Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches.
Each unit is broken down into sub sections. Once you have finished each unit, you will need to submit them for assessing. You get detailed feedback for every question. Once you have finished the 3 units, you will be required to complete a lesson plan. This lesson plan will be based on your micro teach. Your micro teach will involve you recording your teaching session, which must include at least one student. You will also need to submit a self- assessment form, profile action plan and a declaration, together with other supporting material.
You will receive full support from your assessor throughout your course.
